Minwoo Park, based in Ardmore, Oklahoma, is an accomplished pianist and dedicated music educator with a passion for teaching that spans over two decades. His musical journey began at Daejeon Art High School, where he received guidance from esteemed mentors Yoo-Jin Lee, Won-Ki Min, and Ji-Hyun Kim. He furthered his education at Chung-Nam National University in South Korea, graduating with a major in piano performance.

     Seeking to refine his skills and broaden his knowledge, Minwoo pursued advanced studies at Western Michigan University, earning a Master’s degree in Piano Performance. Under the mentorship of renowned pianist and pedagogue Lori Sims, he delved into the intricacies of piano pedagogy, enriching his teaching approach. During his tenure at WMU, Minwoo served as a teaching assistant, imparting his expertise and nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians.

     Continuing his quest for excellence, Minwoo pursued a Doctor of Musical Arts (ABD) degree at the University of Alabama, under the guidance of Dr. Kevin Chance. Throughout his academic journey, Minwoo has remained an active member of prestigious music organizations such as Pi Kappa Lambda, the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA), and the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (OMTA), demonstrating his commitment to advancing music education.

     Beyond academia, Minwoo's musical talents have graced stages both nationally and internationally through solo recitals in South Korea and the United States. Additionally, he has lent his expertise as the principal pianist for the Huxford Orchestra and collaborated with various ensembles at the University of Alabama.

     With an unwavering dedication to his craft and a genuine love for music, Minwoo Park continues to inspire and enrich the Southern Oklahoma community through his passion for piano teaching and performance.
